The island is approached by car across a causeway - the site of the Battle of Maldon in 991 commemorated in the famous poem. This causeway is covered by sea for four hours out of every twelve.

For Christmas, New Year, and Bank Holidays for 4 nights the rental is GBP 800. Hirers can arrive on the Friday but are asked to leave before noon on the Monday or for 4 night weekends on the Tuesday |
