It is located on a quiet farm surrounded by dramatic hills, with a burn flowing through the front garden. The cottage has lovely views and is completely private. It is a 5 minute, half - mile walk to the picturesque village of Stow down a private drive. Stow has a post office and general store. The village is 25 miles from Edinburgh, and a bus can be taken straight in to the city from here. Galashiels, Lauder, Selkirk, Melrose and other picturesque towns all within 5 - 15 miles. There are many castles & places of historic interest nearby, as well as good beaches; just over an hour's drive. This is the ultimate place for ramblers or those who wish to take some good walks with excellent views! You can walk straight from the cottage to go on numerous walks, short or long. EXCELLENT Mountain Biking park 17 miles away, best in the UK apparently! Bike shop, facilities and events year round. Friendly local caretaker!
