La Mata beach is a 10 minute walk, and buses into town, go every 20 minutes. There are restaurants, bars and shops within easy walking distance. Alicante airport is a 20 minute drive away. There is a new national park opening at La Mata beach. The twin bedded room and full bathroom downstairs would facilitate family members who are elderly or infirm.
