As a “blue flag” beach it is very safe, clean and ideal for water sports, with a sandbank out to sea where “almejas” (mussels) can be fished. The almost virgin beaches are highly prized by Spaniards, but still little known to foreigners.The property has sea views from upstairs and downstairs lounges, with a breathtaking panorama from the roof-top terrace of the Atlantic and of the Guadiana River which separates Spain from the Algarve and Portugal. The private pool can be shared by the two rental units. When used as a villa the upstairs lounge can create a sixth bedroom.Restaurants and cafes are 3mins walk, 4* hotel 5mins walk, marina and supermarket 10mins. Ayamonte has an “old town”, many walking streets, beautiful shops and tapa bars.
